Its a little derivative of the first. not gonna lie. I didn't have high hopes.
but i still enjoyed learning little tidbits of the mess that is rich kids lives.
was on the fence about continuing the series since i absolutely hate teacher-student relationships.
i figured i would give book 3 a chance since a lot of this book didn't have that relationship mentioned. the tv series goes a lot harder on it. which is gross. and makes me not want to watch the tv series.

still delightful to read about the kids getting blackmailed.
and whats this. an off screen suicide? i was not ready for that.
so naturally i had to keep going.

Flawless picks up right after the first book ends with the first group A message. The book does a really good job of making the case for who A could be, and casting doubt on everyone. Interestingly enough the girls are still separated and not really re-bonded yet in this book, unlike in the tv series.

I am still waiting for Emily to challenge her mother's racism more than a couple of instances of her perspective saying "possibly racist reasons" that her mother doesn't want her to hang out with Maya.

There isn't any character development in this installment, although this book seems to cover like 2 or 3 days. I do want to say that the characters I loved in the show (Spencer & Hanna) I don't like much in the book. I find myself resonating most with Aria.

Content/Trigger warnings: assault, inferred potential rape, eating disorder, death & suicide, racism ("I just don't see what you have in common with people like that," unchallenged so far)

Prima boek, maar zeker niet een echt goed boek.

I have to say these arn't as bad and tacky as I thought they'd be. I would probably like the show even more if they included swearing but alas, ABC Family.

This book got a lot better than the first one. There weren't as many brand names dropped. But I felt that some of the things that the adults in the book did were a little ridiculous. As though the author didn't really grow up enough to know adults don't act like that. Overall though I did like it, and continued on to the next one.
