All I Want was even better in audio -the narrator did a great job of bringing the characters and their woes to life!

As always, a great book from Shalvis.
Zoe and Parker were a lot of fun, had great chemistry and the animals? THE ANIMALS, GUYS! So adorable!! Bonnie and Clyde are adorable as is, but together with Oreo they were super uber adorable.
I also felt like Shalvis should have explored the Down Syndrome situation a bit more, as this is such a unique and important trait to give a character (even a side one), and having it barely function in anything is a bit underwhelming.

That's it! The last Animal Attraction book. I will miss Sunshine, but I can say, the last book was very satisfying. As always, there was a lot of sweet, fun, and sexy moments, but what I really adored was the interactions with the animals. Oreo, Bonnie, and Clyde won my heart. The interactions between our MCs and the pets were super cute - every time. This book had a little suspense aspect too, which kept me entertained. Shalvis always writes a great Hero, and Parker definitely won my heart. He had that alpha swagger, but on the sly he did the sweetest things. From fixing Zoe's home in the middle of the night to his relationship with his down syndrome sister, and the pets! The way that dog and those cats could manipulate Parker was hilarious and sweet. Another great book from Shalvis.

Love can turn want into need.

I started All I Want at 5:30 this morning, with hubby sleeping peacefully beside me. It's my quiet reading time before I start the day...well it's normally quiet. The beginning was funny and I was struggling to keep my giggles quiet, which then turned into snorts, which then turned into hiccups. So my quiet reading time didn't end up so quiet after all. At least I started my day with a big smile on my face.

Zoe meets Parker when she practically throws herself at him. Zoe is a pilot struggling to refurb the old family home, pay off her study debts and give herself a life. Up till now her brother and sister were her main focus, but with them moving out and finding their own HEA's, Zoe realises she needs to make some changes. First change, she wants to go on dates.

Timing is everything and Parker realises it when a beautiful woman throws herself at him. Wyatt, Zoe's brother and Parker's mate has organised for him to stay with her while he's on a break from work. Parker has been forced to take time off work when one of his cases goes bad and a fellow officer is killed. His work involves chasing down poachers and traffickers of wild and nearly extinct animals. He finds it too hard to completely shut off from work.

These two have great chemistry that they try to deny. Parker doesn't want to hurt Zoe, but knows a relationship won't work because of his job. Zoe is hesitant, because she's had bad relationships that ended because of lies and she knows Parker has secrets. Eventually they succumb...and they are HOT together. It was obvious to me from the time Oreo and Bonnie and Clyde accepted Parker, they were meant to be together.

Both Zoe and Parker have some family issues. I do not like Zoe's parents at all. Parker's family issues show us a side to Parker that was very sweet. It made me like him even more.

This was another great Jill Shalvis story with lovable characters and a sweet storyline. These are not hard books to read. They flow so smoothly, with no angst filled plots to make you pull your hair out. A comfort read, a sweet read and a returning home type of read that left me smiling.

I can’t believe that this series is already on Book 7. I remember reading the first book in this series and being really excited about it. While every single book hasn’t worked for me, I still enjoy the series.

Zoe Stone is the eldest Stone sibling and the one that has always been in charge. So it goes without saying that she’s bossy. She’s always had to be because her parents were always traveling and leaving the kids behind so Zoe kind of just took charge. She looked out for Wyatt and Darcy and now that they’re both grown and moved out of the house they all shared when we first met them, Zoe has the house to herself…and she doesn’t know what to do with herself. She’s trying to get her own life by learning to bake, taking up some hobbies and getting out there to date but she hasn’t really had much success with anything.

When Wyatt’s friend from college needs a place to crash while “vacationing” in Sunshine, Wyatt gives him Zoe’s address and tells him to rent a room from her. So he does. But Zoe isn’t what Parker was expecting and Zoe doesn’t want to like what she sees when Parker shows up at her doorstep. But because this is a romance, they do like what they see and they do fight their attraction until they just can’t anymore.

This was a fun romance about two people who come to love each other while living with each other. I thought both Parker and Zoe were cute and seeing them come together in love was fun. This book is what I’ve come to expect from Jill Shalvis. She writes those cute contemporary romances that you want to cuddle close and spend the whole night sighing all over the place.

Fans of Jill Shalvis will enjoy this addition to her back list and fans of this series will enjoy it too. There’s cute pets, a steamy romance and loads of laughs.

In All I Want, we return the Sunshine, ID for the seventh installment of the Animal Magnetism series. This time we are spending time with Zoe, the sister of Wyatt and Darcy, whom we have met and seen glimpses of in previous books. We meet a new character, Parker, who is a college friend of Wyatt’s and needs a temporary place to stay while he is in town for work and a sabbatical.

The glimpses we have seen of Zoe previously really haven’t told us too much about her, so reading All I Want was really like reading a completely stand-alone novel about two brand new characters, a fact I enjoyed.

Ms. Shalvis delivers exactly what her fans have come to expect from her in terms of characters. Zoe is a smart, somewhat snarky heroine who is slightly wounded by life, but is determined to make her way. Parker is a sexy, alpha male in law enforcement who ends up being blindsided by love. The cast of secondary characters isn’t huge and honestly, they mainly add color and a little more detail about our hero and heroine. Watching Parker’s interactions with his sister and the kittens told us a lot about who he is as a person. I loved the little things he did for Zoe from the moment he met her, you just knew he was a great guy.

Zoe and Parker are a fun couple to spend time with and you really root for them as the story moves along. There is more of an action/suspense element to this story and it was a fun addition. There are no surprises in All I Want, but for me, it is one of the stronger entries into the Animal Magnetism series.
