Sadly I was rather disappointed by this book after the great Mort. For some reason, I just couldn't really get into this book. In particular, i found the whole plot line with the wizards a bit of a drag and found myself just skimming most of that. This might also explain why it took me 4 months to actually finish reading this book.

I'd give this 3.5 stars if I could. As with all Discworld novels I've read, the parts that focused on Death were the best. I wasn't as thrilled with the wizards side of the plot, but then, the wizards have never been my favorite Discworld characters.

Nueva entrega de la serie de Mundodisco. Como comenté hace unos días, este libro narra una divertida historia en la que la Muerte (que siempre habla en versalitas) es despedida por Azrael (que no es el gato de Gargamel, sino el Ser Supremo del Mundodisco), volviéndose mortal y, por tanto, dejando de llevarse de este mundo a los que mueren. La Muerte se hace campesina, y demuestra una habilidad sobrenatural con el uso de la guadaña en el campo. Eso sí, sólo corta las espigas de una en una... En Mundodisco la gente empieza a no morirse. Los médiums empiezan a tener problemas al comunicarse con los no muertos, sobre todo por el follón que se oye a causa de toda la gente que anda por ahí sin morirse. Los espíritus se quejan de que no caben, de que auquello parece el Metro en hora punta. Los magos y los sacerdotes tendrán que unirse para desfacer el entuerto.
Como todas las novelas de TP, ésta me ha encantado. Me gusta cómo escribe, me encantan los chistes malos que suelta constantemente y me encanta cómo resuelve las historias. Mi nota: Muy divertido.

P.S.: Por cierto, navegando por ahí encuentro el blog del corrector de las ediciones españolas de la serie de Mundodisco. En esta entrada nos da un resumen de su trabajo. Muy interesante.
