I wish I'd read this when I was a teenager and would have loved it. As it is, I liked what has now become a historical time frame. I liked the gallantry and the innocence of the characters. I liked that the plot didn't unfold the way I expected, and didn't mind when they were exactly what I expected.

Mostly, I like [a:Madeleine L'Engle|106|Madeleine L'Engle|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1305256804p2/106.jpg]'s worlds and her characters and this is a great example of both.
