I didn't end up liking this book as much on my re-read as when I first read it. Back then I fell head over heels in love with the characters. I still liked them but I suppose the plot wasn't one I necessarily needed to revisit in this stage of my own life. That being said, I loved the narration of the audiobook because of the Scottish accent, which added to the feeling of being transported to the Isle of Mure. Perhaps I should listen to the sequels too instead of picking up the ebooks...

Audiobook read in scottish accent! What a treat!
Story itself is also really good, poetical and with beautiful nature.
Romance isn't central part of a story imo, felt more like a family saga to me.
