I was pretty disappointed with the book prior to this one, Kitty Takes a Holiday, so I kind of stalled reading Kitty and the Silver Bullet. I'm so glad I got back into the series, though, because this book was quite good. I should note, there are some spoilers in this review if you haven't read the previous book.

The most important change? Kitty is back to being a strong, dominant werewolf - instead of the whiny, self-pitying mess she was in Kitty Takes a Holiday. In Kitty and the Silver Bullet, Kitty is returning to Denver - her mom is ill so Kitty has to face everything she ran away from. Even though she's reluctant to do so and some of the old demons start to come back, it was so great to see her finding an inner strength you knew she had back in book 2 (Kity Goes to Washington).

What really surprised me is that I LIKE Kitty with Ben! I thought I was going to hate that development, because well, you know... McCormick! I always liked Ben though, and as it turns out, I really like him with Kitty! I'm really excited to see where there relationship will go, especially considering some of the exciting developments in Kitty and the Silver Bullet both in their human and wolf relationships!

And I'm eternally glad that I listen to this series, rather than reading it. Marguerite Gavin does a FANTASTIC job with Kitty and all the voices. Her voice is particularly great for Kitty's radio show, which is one of my favorite parts of the books - and I think it would be a real loss to get to listen to that.

I'm on an Kitty Norville kick now - expecially since I just got offered books 6-14 on audio for review... so expect lots more Kitty in coming weeks :)
