Day 04 for #BookReviewBlogChallenge by Great New Reads is to review any book with 400+ pages. And I'm reviewing The Good Daughter. Clocks in at 656 pgs and 18 hrs as an audiobook.

I fucking loved this. I really need a damn win, and I got it with The Good Daughter.

Trigger warning though on gun violence, murder, child rape,

It's immediately engaging.

I love both point of views.

Builds suspense and tension BEAUTIFULLY.

I figured some things out but only RIGHT before they were officially revealed.

Characters are all amazing in their own  way and memorable. No blandies or standees here!

Love how it handles PTSD and trauma. Understandable, realistic as well as their therapy experiences.

Bisexual people! Casually existing and mentioned and not a big deal. Except to bi-self reacting to them XD

I will absolutely be checking out more Karin Slaughter books. I can't believe this is the first I've heard/read her.

There are some triggers in this book. Rape, murder, it's graphic.

Just when I thought it was predictable, I was proven wrong! I did not see any of it coming.

I would recommend this to anyone that can handle heavy subjects.
