It's hard to like this retelling of Beauty and the Beast because it is so much in line with the version of the fairy tale we're most familiar with. In fact, I'd say this book set the standard of the current version, including the framework for the Disney movies. Beauty is not just beautiful, she's sweet and thoughtful and courageous and this story is everything I want in a Beauty and the Beast story.
