Pratchett dropped the ball with this one. I never thought I'd come across a character more annoying than Umbridge! I actually had literally force myself to finish this stinker. The only thing it has going for it, is that you can see the beginnings of the bureaucracy of heaven & hell that is portrayed in Good Omens.

Encontré este libro en la tienda del aeropuerto y al llegar a mi destino ya lo había devorado. Terry Pratchett [TP] juega a reescribir la Historia y los clásicos. Un jovenzuelo llamado Eric invoca al demonio para que le conceda tres deseos, pero en su lugar aparece nuestro infatigable Rincewind, que hará lo posible por concedérselos. Durante las aventuras que corren tenemos oportunidad de observar cómo eran en realidad los aztecas, o cómo se invadió Troya (no fue con un caballo de madera), o cómo se fabrica un Universo. Los tres deseos de  Fausto  Eric, que son los tres deseos clásicos por antonomasia (poder absoluto sobre todas las ciudades del mundo, poseer a la mujer más bella de la Tierra y vivir eternamente), sirven de hilo conductor para que Pratchett se mofe de todo cuanto se le venga a las meninges, mientras los protagonistas huyen de un demonio que intenta hacer del infierno una empresa rentable. Es un relato que se hace muy corto, y es muy divertido.

Noto en esta novela que TP no se recrea tanto en los detalles como en otras novelas del Mundodisco. Por eso la novela, digo yo, es tan corta. A mí me ha encantado, hay varios chistes que me hicieron soltar la carcajada, para curiosidad de los que me rodeaban. Se la recomiendo, estimados lectores. Es muy entretenida. Mi nota: Divertidísima.
