The Romantic Comedy Book Club
With that being said, while I enjoyed this book, the one nagging issue I had from the beginning is that while I understand it is fictional, it is just too far fetch to grasp. I get the premise of chance encounters, that is the foundation of all strangers to lovers romances but this one - especially with who the characters were, it was too outlandish.
As I will use it several times below, I will preface by saying the word of the day is "intensity" when you talk about this book.
From the intensity of the two main characters crossing to the “blown against your seat” acceleration of their relationship, you are left in the dust - trying to catch up on how everything moved so fast and got where it was so quickly (too quickly).
Once you stop feeling like you have been on a rocket, shot to outer space, and the decide to say "it is what it is", you can then sink into the story and watch it unfold.
The build up in each chapter was so intense that I found myself skipping to the end of the chapter, reading a few lines to see what happened, allowing me to get through the chapter itself.
I will fair to mention that if you blush easily, this book is NOT for you. This book is HOT - I mean fan yourself, "I can't believe he just said that", dirty talk is this man's gift kind of hot.
While this is technically book #3 in the series, all books are stand alone.
