Stuck-Up Suit

I loved listening to this one...

I swear, Graham sounds exactly like Charlie Sheen. I suppose that makes Joe, the narrator sounds like Charlie Sheen. This was an easy listen and just as good as the read. The characters were engaging and the narrators do a fantastic job of bringing Soraya and Graham to life. Great for a re-read/listen.

Rating stays the same as the narrators help bring this story to life for me.

I read it in one day.

I woke up this morning unsure of what story I was in the mood for. The kids started back to school today and while I was a wee bit happy, I was also a little sad. I needed an instant pick me up and I had a feeling Stuck-Up Suit would be just what the doctor ordered. Within the first few pages I was giggling and I think I spent most of my time reading with a grin on my face. This book is why I love romance. I love LOVE. Surprisingly, it was the cranky, rude, obnoxious suit who ended up being the true romantic, but we were lucky enough to go along on the heroine's journey.

Soraya is having a bit of bad luck lately with her dating choices. One of those bad choices pops up on her train one day and she changes carriages to get away. The carriage she moves too has a very good-looking man in a suit who is abusing someone he is talking to on the phone. This guy does not hold back and is really rude. Soraya is fascinated with him and when he gets off the train she's a little disappointed. When she gets up to leave the train herself she realises the suit dropped his mobile. She feels an obligation to get it back to him.

Graham is not a pleasant man and he knows it. Work is his life. Women place low on his priority list and the only woman he cares about is his grandmother. One day, as he is screaming abuse at his secretary, Rebecca/Elaina/Ava/Eliza (there were many and he never could keep their names straight), someone buzzes him on his intercom and starts calling him out on all his jerky behaviour. This stops Graham in his tracks and makes him very, very curious. The spitfire attacking him left him some lovely pictures on his mobile to admire, which pushes his curiosity to obsession. Imagine his surprise when he starts to get to know her through texts, that she doesn't want to know him further...even though he's good-looking, rich and ambitious.

Eventually these two hook up. Soraya doesn't really fit in Graham's world, but she's willing to give it a try. Unfortunately, someone from his past has dropped a bombshell and seems to be making every effort to get him back. Graham does everything in his power to convince Soraya he is only interested in her and is in for the long haul, but Soraya has her own demons from her past to deal with.

Their journey is a tricky one and probably more common than not in this day and age. How they dealt with it wasn't always the best way, but their love for each other was obvious.

I absolutely loved this story. The characters were funny and unique. The descriptions of Soraya's outfits helped me put together a couple of Style Setter Tributes. I was fully invested in their relationship and could only see them together. I never doubted they would work things out. This was a very sexy read and I enjoyed watching them push each other's buttons.

Stuck-Up Suit was a definite winner for me and I would recommend it to all my smutty friends.
