I started reading this book about a year ago and put it down. Then I picked it up again at the beginning of this year.
I really liked the premise of main character Emily being a Medium and then a hunky Ghost comes along needing her help
to track down a demon that has been released in the city. I really liked how they worked together discovering the mystery of who summoned the demon and how to get rid of it. The thing I wasn't so excited about, was how fast Emily fell in love with Jacob the ghost. As the story continued, it's mentioned that the whole book has basically taken in place in two days. I hadn't realized that and it bothered me that Emily and Jacob had fallen in love in two days. I also didn't like the harsh cliff hanger the story ended on. It's like someone turned the channel during the last five minutes of an episode of your favorite TV show. What? That's not my favorite way to end a book. Yes, this leads into the next book, but I'm not sure I'll be reading the next one.

The overall story was good. It is a YA so you have to have a little leeway for teenage angst, bad decisions and insta-love. It did make an interesting point in a ghost/human romance.

I plan on continuing with the complete trilogy.
