The de Vincent brothers are back-and so is the intrigue that surrounds them-in New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout's sizzling new novel . . .
Nicolette Bresson never thought she'd return to the de Vincents' bayou compound. It's where her parents work, where Nikki grew up . . . and where she got her heart broken by Gabriel de Vincent himself. Yet here she is, filling in for her sick mother. Avoiding Gabe should be easy, especially when so much of Nikki's time is spent trying not to be stabbed in the back by the malicious hangers-on who frequent the mansion. But escaping memories of Gabe, much less his smoking-hot presence, is harder than expected-especially since he seems determined to be in Nikki's space as much as possible.
Gabriel spent years beating himself up over his last encounter with Nikki. He'd wanted her then, but for reasons that were bad for both of them. Things have now changed. Gabe sees more than a girl he's known forever; he sees a smart, talented, and heartbreakingly beautiful woman . . . one who's being stalked from the shadows. Now, Gabe will do anything to keep Nikki safe-and to stop the de Vincent curse from striking again.

This series just keeps getting better and better with every new book that comes out granted there's only two, but still, it's true. I think Gabe and Nikki's story just might be my favorite in this series so far and I am sooooo ready for Devlin's story because that will definitely an awesome one. He is the brother I'm so curious about the more we dive into the de Vincent men, OK, getting off track.
Moonlight Seduction is just one of those books you can read in one sitting, even though it was a bit longer than I expected it to be (not complaining though)! Every page is so darn alluring and intriguing, everything will be you drawing in you from the very beginning. Not just the strong connection that Gabe and Nikki share, and have shared for several years, but the heart-hammering suspense and mystery. I have to admit that the de Vincent Estate scares the crap out of me, too many crazy things have happened (still happening) in that mansion. The stories that come about that mansion keeps stacking up with every book in this series. The whole "skeletons in the closet" has a new meaning when it comes to the de Vincent family and the more that's revealed, it sheds a different light on them. One that shows they'd do anything for family ... family always comes first to the de Vincent boys, so that's something you should remember when you're reading this series. And also, don't f*ck with them. PERIOD!
Nikki and Gabe are absolutely perfect together! Their chemistry is something that all romance books should have, it's sizzling hot no matter how hard they tried to fight it. Every time they're in the same room, you just want them to give in already. With the reputation the de Vincent men hold, I love seeing their softer side when it comes to love. It's obviously a rare sight with these men, but I'm just left awestruck with that side of them. It just shows the many layers of them and that there's so much more to them than what the rumors say.
The dialogue between Nikki and Gabe is everything! There's so much want between them that just gets you all kinds of excited. It's scorching hot. But besides all that, we have the suspense part to Moonlight Seduction and it will leave the hairs on the back of your neck standing up and checking to see if anyone's behind you. The one question I'm constantly asking myself when I read this series is "who is it?!". There are some shady things happening and left with no explanation, but when it is, I just want to know if I was right or not. It's pretty much a big game of Guess Who. I find it funny that I'll have all these questions, while some get answered, others don't, but I'm sure they will be when Devlin's book comes out.
Absolutely loved Moonlight Seduction and can't wait for the final book, Moonlight Scandals. We get the very little glimpse at the end that'll keep you wanting! Bravo, Jennifer, for yet another amazing series!

Cocktails and Books
Cocktails and Books received this book for free from Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect our opinion of the book or the content of our review.I wasn't sure what to expect from Gabe's story. I was so turned around with Lucian's book (especially since I went into the book thinking it was a paranormal romance) that I was almost afraid of Gabe's. But I'm glad I didn't let that stop me because I think Gabe is my favorite de Vincent.
I think my favorite part of this story was the fact that Nikki, daughter of the de Vincent estate caretakers, had this enormous crush on Gabe and then came home to a romance with him. This story could have gone so many ways, but JLA gave these characters such chemistry that it was hard to deny they really belonged with each other. Despite the ten year age difference, they were in-tune with one another and provided that support and encouragement the other needed. Sometimes neither one of them was very good at listening to what that chemistry was telling them, but readers also knew they'd figure that out very quickly (which they generally did).
I think the mystery about the weird goings on at the house finally seem to come to light. Now I'm anxiously awaiting Dev's book to figure out what is up with him and Sabrina and why everything has happened. I just know there is a spectacular story there.

Four years ago Nicolette Bresson left for college and no one thought anything about it. Now she is back after her mother fell ill and she is ready to help out in any way that she can. What no one knew, but quickly unfolds, is that Nic has a secret and there is a connection between her and Gabe that was agonizingly complicated. Their story had two sides and from each perspective the situation was just wrong and hurtful but they were older now and it was time to put the past to bed and move on. Unfortunately, nothing ever works that way with a de Vincent brother and Gabe was having a hard time dealing with Nicolette’s presence.
Nic for her part thought that maybe she had finally moved past her intense crush on Gabe but the moment he came back into the picture she realized that covering for her mom was going to be harder than she had considered and maybe that she had made a mistake coming back. Not only was it hard to deal with Gabe being around, she also had to tolerate Devlin’s fiancee and her brother. The pair of them made Nic’s life miserable. What was even harder for her to deal with though was Gabe’s hot and cold treatment of her. She had had enough though and despite what her traitorous heart wanted she decided that she was not going to read between any lines. She was over her crush and she was not looking back and that was what she was going to keep telling herself until she believed it.
Having Nic around was very confusing for Gabe because he had always seen her as “little Nic” the girl he had taught to swim and tolerated in her youth. Now she was back and she was not the little girl that he remembered but a woman who tempted him beyond all reason just by being in the room. He had enough going on in his life that he should have just ignored Nicolette but he couldn’t. He was angry with her but he was also incredibly attracted to her and when strange occurrences started happening and it seemed that Nic was being targeted all his qualms were shoved aside and things became quite clear to Gabe and there was no looking back.
The build-up between Gabe and Nic was intense but it was not without its difficulty. Both characters were struggling with many strong emotions and that made the interactions between them quite charged. Gabe didn’t always treat Nic well in this story and I get why but I still didn’t like it. Nic put up with a lot from multiple characters in this story and I loved how she remained true to herself despite the outside influences. Although it was hard to watch Nic being treated so shamefully, I felt that in the end she was the better character and that she received the victors prize. Overall, Moonlight Seduction is a swoon worthy read that has the right amount of suspense to keep you on your toes while the smoldering heat between Gabe and Nicolette will set your senses on fire! This story was also a fantastic addition to the de Vincent series and I am excited beyond imagining to get my hands on book three because there were a few plot additions surrounding Devlin’s character that are driving me wild with curiosity!
