It takes a fearless woman to love the most scandalous man alive in New York Times Bestselling Author Jennifer L. Armentrout’s breathtaking novel
Even a ghost hunter like Rosie Herpin couldn’t have foreseen the fateful meeting between two mourners that has brought her so intimately close to the notorious and seductive Devlin de Vincent. Everyone in New Orleans knows he’s heir to a dark family curse that both frightens and enthralls. To the locals, Devlin is the devil. To Rosie, he’s a man who’s stoking her wildest fantasies. When a brutal attack on her friend is linked to the de Vincents, he becomes a mystery she may be risking her life to solve.
Devlin knows what he wants from this sexy and adventurous woman. But what does Rosie want from him? It’s a question that becomes more pressing—and more dangerous—when he suspects her of prying into the shadows of his past.
Now, the legends surrounding the de Vincents may not be myths at all. But if she’s to discover the truth, she must follow them straight into the arms of the man she can’t resist—the handsome devil himself.

This story could be read as a standalone but I would not suggest it. Each book in the de Vincent series builds upon each other and to really have the full impact of the reveals in this book you would need to understand the full overarching plot. Did I say reveals?? Oh, yes, I did! All the skeletons will come tumbling out in this book as well as some seriously surprising twists. To say I was shocked a few times would be putting it mildly. Moonlight Scandals was absolutely a page turner and I loved reading it.
Now, I bet you are wondering about the oooh la la between Rosie and Devlin. Well, let’s just say that Devlin has met his match in Rosie and that what developed between them was a smoldering slow-burn that quickly caught flame and I am surprised that my kindle did not start to smoke. I loved Rosie’s character and the attraction that developed between her and Devlin was something that I could feel from both of them and I was completely captivated by their interactions. So, so, so, swoony! Overall, Moonlight Scandals was everything I expected and more! I highly recommend that you grab yourself a copy today!!

I can always rely on JLA to get me out of a reading funk. My reading month of January started off strong and then it just went downhill from there. A lot of 3 star ratings and one DNF already, definitely not how I saw my year starting off. I cannot get enough of this series and I truly hope that we're not saying farewell to it yet. I feel like she could totally add one more story, but we'll see what comes of it.
I've been waiting for Devlin's story since book 1, he's definitely the brother that intrigued me the most despite his sunshine attitude. I wasn't sure how he was going to win me over, but boy did he! He certainly surprised me the most and now tops as my favorite.
I loved the suspense and mystery that this series just brings. And it got deeper with every book, so many questions and I was constantly seeking answers. Don't even get me started with the all the secrets, there's so many twists. And one I didn't see coming at all.
Devlin and Rosie couldn't be more perfectly matched! It was an absolute JOY to watch Rosie just peel back all of Dev's layers little by little. She was definitely my kind of heroine that I love reading about. She takes zero sh*t from anyone including Dev, but I love how loyal and protective she can be about the ones she cares about. I appreciated her open-mind and the way she saw the world. And I would seriously just love talking to her on a daily basis, can she be a real person, please?!
This series is definitely another JLA fave and I'm so bummed to say good-bye even though I'm hoping that we get one more, possibly. I'd say Jennifer is one of the most consistent authors out there and I'll never stop reading her books, I'm such a fan.
Major thank you to Avon books for the reader's copy!
