I’ll be honest, I was kind of confused reading this book. I actually had to take down notes on who was who, what time in the story I was reading (past, present,future) and basically what the heck was going on. However, the story for some reason kept me engaged.

I did do a lot of skimming throughout some chapters. Some chapters were basically boring. Some of the storylines just seemed to drag on like fillers. I did loose interest at some points and quickly skimmed through.

For me, this book kind of got exciting when I was 75% into the book.

The ending chapters were very engaging and I could not put the book down. I was captivated and found that when the book ended it was great. I am totally looking forward to the next book, Salvation Lost. I’m hoping there will be excitement throughout the whole book and not as close to the end of the story as this first book in the series.

I will read the next book.
