Rock Chick Rescue takes you on a wild ride with Jet, Eddie and the gang as they wrestle bad guys in a bagel shop, hit Denver's backstreet poker tables (with big hair), and help the strippers at Smithie's take down a would-be murderer. Through this, Jet's got to learn that, even when life made you give up your dreams, you can still end up with the (hot) guy. Eddie's got to rescue Jet from a bad man (so he can do better things with her) and teach her that some dreams can come true.

Now, Jet and Eddie's story was not my favourite in the Rock Chick series. Saying that, I also said the same thing about Rock Chick Reckoning and completely changed my mind after listening to the audio. I've decided to give Rock Chick Rescue another go and see if Sussanah Jones can convert me on this one too. I've also changed my whole attitude towards it after reading this comment by Kristen Ashley...

Not my favorite of the series, but Eddie is hot! ;)

Re-Read January 2016 (Jet still annoys the crap out of me and I still find it hard to believe that Eddie had a thing for Indy for YEARS, and just got over it like THAT)

Sept 7th, 2018 Re-Read 5000001. For some reason this go around I found Eddie more annoying than Jet. Also, if he had a thing for Jet right from the start, why was he holding hands with a blonde (his date) at one of Indy's parties where he knew it was likely Jet was going to be as well? This was a couple months after the "cup" incident where he claims he first got interested in her?? Things that make you go...hmmm??

Rock Chick Rescue had a little too much drama for my taste, and Eddie is too macho - physically taking Jet from her place, to bring him to hers is not OK.

I actually like Jet more than Indy! She is so sweet and endearing. And again, like all these books, the secondary characters are hilarious and perfect!

Another annoying heroine. Seriously hope the heroines of this series gets better as I move along. Still loving her heroes though.

Ok. I don't think that I'll dislike anything KA writes. Jet got with the program about 68% of the way through. And of course pissed me off a couple of times towards the end.... but in all of this we get to learn more about Hank, Vance and Mace. 3 guys I know we get to read about later....this makes me happy. While I may not have loved Jet, I sure did enjoy the rest of the characters. We get to learn a bit more about Indy and Lee ;) and I loved how the whole crew rallied around Jet. I look forward to more of that dynamic in later books.
