Set against the beautiful lush background of Ireland, Shadow of the Mark, is an insatiable follow up to Carrier of the Mark. Romantic and suspenseful, it is wonderfully captivating and will leave you breathless as the story further unfolds and the unique inspired mythology is explored. Leigh Fallon never ceases to amaze me with her stunning attention to detail, riveting story arcs, and complex characters. Part of the beauty of this series, lies within the mystery and intrigue surrounding the "marked ones". The more this story unravels, the more you find yourself getting wrapped up in it.

Oh, and what a story to get wrapped up in.

I cannot tell you how much I adore the mythology that Fallon has taken the time to uniquely and creatively develop. The deeper it is explored, the more I was compelled to keep reading. This story is breath takingly gorgeous and the romance will have your heart melting in no time flat. Megan and Adam are destined to be together and yet, they can't. The intense emotions and the bittersweet heartache, will eat you up and drag you all over the place.

This is a fantastic sequel to a wonderfully written debut novel, that will grip you in its palm and hold you there until the end! The heartbreak and betrayals will shatter you into a million pieces one minute and then the action and drama will have you flying so high the next, that your head will literally spin with the dizzying affect. The atmospheric imagery will have you feeling as if you have crawled inside the pages right along with the characters and are experiencing Ireland the same as they are.

I would recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush, Hush series. You'll not want to miss out on this one, because it's incredibly intense, action packed, and beautifully written.
