Cocktails and Books

June and Evan had a past together, which neither of them had gotten over. I could understand that. But both of them seemed to thrown all their reasoning out the window the minute the saw the other. June was still emotional devastated and all the reasons Evan left were still there. So it made it a bit unrealistic that these two would say "f it" and suddenly be a couple again.
There were some loose plots with the story as well. June was under her cousin's protection. Assumingly because of what went down with her ex. But that fell by the wayside very quickly. Then there was Evan's brother. We got the why of the breaking and entering, but what happened between him and June seemed a little more, but we never got to the bottom of that. Evan's issues from deployment were mentioned, but kinda glossed over. These little things made it hard to fall in love with the book.
