One of the most heart-rending moments is when we blame ourselves for the death of a loved one. Where we keep second guessing ourselves as to whether or not we could have done more or do something differently that would have prevented their death. Beau Braden has been carrying that weight on his shoulder for almost a decade. A weight which isolated him from family and friends as he believed they also blamed him for the tragedy. This weight bogged him down to the point where every year on the anniversary he distanced himself further away from his family. This year was no different. He intends to take up a job offer has a reality TV host in LA. However, before he does, he gladly took on a repair job at Sterling Inn on the recommendations of his uncle. What he never expected was the sexy, but conservative Charlotte Sterling who would turn his world inside out.

Charlotte Sterling is an erotic romance writer who is suffering a case of writer's block with her current novel. To address this she role-play with blow up dolls and a variety of sex toys. It was during one of her role-plays she came face to face with Beau. I bet you can imagine how that meeting went. (wink). I will tell you this much it had me laughing. Even now as I am writing this review, the memory has me grinning from ear to ear.

These two, although opposites are a match made in heaven. Charlotte was looking for the type of love her parents shared. Stuff made of fairy tales. She wants to experience a relationship where intimacy meant something, not just a quick roll in the hay. She thought that kind of love no longer existed, but that was until she met Beau. Beau was not looking for love in any size, shape. However, Charlotte stirred feelings he never expected to experience again. Pain ruled his life. He refuses to let go of the pain from the past. However, Charlotte as a believer of true love and fairy tale endings was determined to show him he could experience love once again. She restored hope and love in his life.

Watching them together was such a delight. Their interactions with each other were sweet, heartwarming and hot. They blended into each other’s world and I loved how Beau assisted her in her research with writing a scene. They helped to build each other, which aided in their journey of healing, self-discovery and love.

The story was exactly what I expected from Miss Foster. Heartwarming, sweet and steamy, with a focus on family friendships. This was a quick and easy read although there were moments when I found it dragged somewhat. However, this did not prevent me from enjoying the story.

Conclusion/Recommendation
Once again, Melissa Foster delivered a sweet, sizzling and heartwarming story with relatable characters. Fans of contemporary romance will enjoy this new addition to the Bradens and Montgomery series.

Thank you to Lisa for letting me take part in this tour. As I am sure you know I have been in love with the Braden's for years s I couldn't turn this one down. Both of these characters have popped up in Melissa's previous books briefly but if you haven't read anything by Melissa before then that's not a problem at all. 

Charlotte Sterling is an erotic romance writer. She's released 4 books that have made her a best seller but now Charlotte has writers block and she's way behind on her deadline. Despite writing erotic Charlotte's love life is non existent. Charlotte want's the fairy-tale and nothing less. I loved Charlotte. She is brave, strong and determined. Charlotte has lost so much in her life but she managed to turn her grief into something positive. I also loved the little bits of herself that Melissa put into Charlotte's character. 

If any man was going to bring Charlotte a fairy-tale it was going to be a Braden man. Braden men are fiercely loyal, passionate, family men. Beau Braden is punishing himself for his past. He believes it's his fault his firs girlfriend was killed and he doesn't deserve to be happy because of it. Beau has about a billion walls that are taller than a castle but Charlotte manages to scale them. Beau captured my heart with the things he does for Charlotte. He was so dreamy. 

As always Melissa had me reeling through the emotions on this one. There were some sad scenes that had me in tears but also some very sweet scenes that equally had me in tears, albeit happy ones. I was so glad to see these two overcome their issues and have their HEA.

Waiting for a fairy-tale…and not settling for less.

I have a great relationship with my hubby. What makes our relationship special is I know what a great hubby I have. What makes our relationship even more special, is he makes it known to me that I’m a great wifey. We are a mutual admiration society…in a good way. We prop each other up when we’re feeling down. Give each other the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth…so help us both. And, defend each other to the death. We can be nauseatingly happy, hold each other’s hands and kiss lots. BUT…we don’t always agree (he "fights" calmly...so annoying), can be a little hormonal (ME), a wee bit stubborn (HIM), and we could do with more money (BOTH of us could work a little harder, but where’s the fun in that). We’re not perfect, but we’re perfectly happy together.

I wouldn’t say hubby is my fairy-tale, but I would say that he was what I hoped for in my dreams. I wanted a husband who would love me in the good and bad times, a protector, a lover and a provider. He’s not a fairy-tale because he’s real, makes mistakes and does blokey things that drive me bonkers. Then again, I’m no fairy-tale either.

Anyways...I completely understood Charlotte’s need to find the right man and not settle for anything less. Yes, she dreamed of fairy-tales, but you could also tell that she wanted a real life, a real love and a real happy ever after. Charlotte has seen what a real love looks like and she wants the same thing for herself. She’s also lost loved ones and she’s hesitant to open her heart up for it to be trampled and abused. But, she’s got a lot of love to give if she can only find the man to accept her…and her blow up dolls.

Beau is a closed-up shell of a man. When he’s begged by his family to help a friend with some building and reno work, it couldn’t have come at a better time. Beau will take any excuse to be away from his hometown and family at this times of the year. This time of the year is a reminder of his biggest mistake and a catastrophic loss. Guilt is his burden to carry and ten years has not lessened his load. Beau feels like he’s not meant for happiness or deserves to have love. It turns out that a fairy…with a blow-up doll and handcuffs, might change everything in his world.

I really enjoyed reading Anything for Love. This was my first read by Melissa Foster and it will definitely not be my last. Her writing is the sigh-worthy contemporary romance kind. The heroes aren’t perfect and fight the love-bug initially. They redeem themselves when they realise they found their perfect woman and become possessive, loving and thoughtful. There’s plenty of steamy bits and in this case, we’re treated to a bit of play in the sexy times. It’s not *bring out the whips and chains* more like *experimental fun times*.

If I was to complain about anything, I would say that it was a little wordier than what I normally like. In the middle, I found myself getting impatient and wishing they would just get to it already. Sure, I needed their backstory and their getting to know each other stage, but it seemed that Beau’s history took forever to come out. I needed to know sooner why he was such a grumpy bear.

I loved that Charlotte was an erotic romance writer and we get to see the research involved in the writing process. I now have romance and erotic authors pictured in my mind, buying blow-up dolls, handcuffs and gadgets to test things out. I may not be able to look another romance or erotic author in the eye again. 😉

I’m so glad I got the opportunity to read and review Anything for Love. I enjoy a lot of different types of romance reads (excluding alien ones with tentacles…shudders) and each has a special time and place in my life. Melissa Foster will be my new go-to author when my hubby does something sweet and I appreciate it. Or, I need a reminder that hubby is capable of doing something sweet. Either way, I’m happy I found Melissa Foster and her sigh-worthy contemporary romances.
