I love Gregory Maguire, adored Wicked and Son of a Witch. I love the Borgias, reading and learning about them. That being said, I assumed the two combined in a book would be fantastic. I stand completely corrected. This book was for lack of a better term, terrible. There was no real flow to it, it didn't keep my attention (something I feel is REALLY important in a book),and overall not well written. It was actually really difficult for me to finish this book. I kept on reading hoping that it would get better, but after I got halfway through, I knew it was going to and simply felt obligated to finish the book. Not going to lie, kind of a waste of my time. It saddens me, because I loved Wicked, it's one of my favorite books, but Mirror Mirror was a serious let down. All in all, Mirror Mirror was a tedious and boring read.
