Starting over sucks. Ну что ж, это конечно сборник клише. Однако было довольно... интересно. Бонусы девчуле за то что смогла отказать чудику, а не сразу кинулась на шею ему. Отхватила каждую часть по 100 р, так что грех не прочитать что будет дальше, пока терпимо всё)

I liked it! Katy and Daemon have incredible chemistry and I loved their banter. It's also has quite the interesting premise - I'm not usually a fan of alien books but there's no denying that I enjoyed this one. But there's just something missing. It might even end up being more of a 3.5 star read.

I'm finally getting round to listening to the audiobook of Obsidian. The main way to describe the plot is teenage angst at it's finest. I like the cool powers that show up in this book and I also like the originality of what Daemon is. So much of this felt like Twilight revisited. I probably would have enjoyed this more if I'd read it when it first came out. Some readers have said they like the other books in this series more than the first book. I'll go ahead and listen to them. I give Obsidian 3.5 stars.

I was searching for something to read, scrolled alllll the way to the beginning of my Kindle library and found this. What the hell was I thinking? Book blogger protag? Cool! Douchebag forced romance plot? Fuck that. Made it 12%. I'm out.

Uhm...uhm... I wish I could love this book more but it was all cliche from the beginning until the end. And the way Katy lusted after Daemon made me want to puke over and over again. Honestly, it seemed that every paragraph in this book contained sentences that described how hot Daemon is and how his eyes turned into such a magnificent hue of green that one couldn't help but get lost in them. What the fuck?! And the worse thing, I'm gonna have to finish this series because I'm a masochist that way.

Obsidian was a little confusing in places, and I was quite frustrated with Katy because of her suffering from something very close to insta-love/lust when it came to Daemon. She said he was a jerk, but then she went all googly-eyed at the thought of him anyway.

“I hate you and your freaky alien powers.”


There were so many things that irritated me throughout this whole book, yet I never stopped reading it because I wanted to find out why everyone else seems to love this book/series so much.

This book was entertaining, but I disliked all of the characters so much that the entertainment value didn't make-up for the dislike of the characters.

I liked Katy at first, but as she got closer to Daemon I started to dislike her. He was always able to get under her skin everyday and to make her so angry at him that she ended up just letting him get away with everything.

Now with Daemon I did understand why he was so protective of his sister, and why he didn't like Katy being around her. It wasn't enough to make-up for him being such a jerk and treating everyone like crap.


Dee was probably my favorite one of them she was kind, and treated others like they should be treated. She didn't want there to be people she couldn't befriends with and she just wanted to have a normal human life. I did dislike that she always made excuses for Daemons behavior though and that she always covered for him.

Overall while this wasn't a horrible storyline itself. The characters ended up ruining it and making it not very enjoyable.
