This reads like an outline or rough first draft. The premise itself was interesting put the execution was very poor. While the concept of this story was sad it just did not keep me captivated at all.

The writing is dry, confusing, and the characters are flat. The ending was a huge disappointment. Correa’s idea of what it was like to live through WWII is laughable. I obviously didn’t experience it, but I’m pretty sure most folks didn’t feel like “the war was becoming a distant memory” shortly after it ended.

I’m so bored of this I can’t be bothered to list all of what bothered me about this book but it’s a definite pass in my mind.
