I fell in love with Samantha in All American Girl, and was pretty excited when I found a sequel at the library. Though I did not love this as much as the first book, I still liked it. I personally believe this book is fairly relevant for its target age group.
Samantha is struggling with the decision to take her relationship to the next level. A decision that many girls her age have faced for ages. I liked that Cabot presented all sides, and talked about the responsibilities and possible outcomes. There was everything in there - slut shaming, abstinence, contraceptions, self pleasuring, love, lust. I felt like it was an open dialog with lots of angles in order to present a complete picture.
Don't worry, Samantha was still Samantha - still funny, sassy, and neurotic. An enjoyable addition to the series.
