Disappointingly weak short story from the author of [b:The Secret Garden|2998|The Secret Garden|Frances Hodgson Burnett|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1327873635s/2998.jpg|3186437]. A French couple gossip about and meet an American family in Paris. The accents grate, the ending is predictable. It's not downright horrible, but there's little to recommend this piece, and it certainly doesn't match Burnett's best.
