Unfortunately this book is quite slower in pace. However, it's an essential piece of the puzzle that is Auren. It's here we learn the depth of her character, her fears, her real needs, wants. The introduction of the 4th kingdom brings us delightful new characters to side-eye and ultimately love. I do wish there were more pov splits, to dip into the minds of the others that are closest to Auren to really get a more 3d picture of her growth.
