This book started off really great and I got through it super quickly. Unfortunately, it lost me about halfway through and I found the latter half a bit difficult to get through. I loved being back with these characters, I loved being back with Ronan and Adam and the rest of the Lynches. But yeah, I didn't love this book. I liked Jordan's POV but I didn't like Carmen's (and I hated that Maggie referred to her by her last name the entire time, idk). I might still continue the series, but I am not highly anticipating the sequel, to be honest.

I loved this book. I do still stand by my statement that it is important to have read The Raven Cycle before this book to thoroughly enjoy it though. There are too many references to past events and characters to be understood without having read TRC previously. World and character and relationship building in this book was amazing and I found myself falling in love with characters I previously didn’t have much care for. I’m crushed I will have to wait for the next book!

Stayed up all night to finish it. This whole series makes me ache with longing and happiness and sorrow. Like the Raven Cycle, I don't notice what age group or genre Call Down the Hawk classifies as - it's amazing regardless. So good. So so good.
I'll probably come back and write a longer (more helpful) review once I find the words.
