Lowen arrives at the Crawford home, ready to sort through years of Verity's notes and outlines, hoping to find enough material to get her started. What Lowen doesn't expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read. Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity's recollection of the night their family was forever altered.
Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden from Jeremy, knowing its contents would devastate the already-grieving father. But as Lowen's feelings for Jeremy begin to intensify, she recognizes all the ways she could benefit if he were to read his wife's words. After all, no matter how devoted Jeremy is to his injured wife, a truth this horrifying would make it impossible for him to continue loving her . . .

I am not going to say too much about the book. It is one of those stories that is best gone into blindly. It was amazingly written and had me hooked from the first page. The pace was pretty much perfect. The plot was intricate and well developed. There were plenty of twists and turns. A little bit of romance. A smidge of sex, and an ending that was jaw-dropping. Not bragging, but I am super good at Sherlocking out twists, but yea...little Miss Me DID NOT see that coming.
Nothing really left to say; this was one of the best books I have read this year. Way to squeak it in under the wire Miz Hoover (lol).

Verity had a very creepy, eerie feeling to it - from start to finish. And even after I finished reading, that feeling stayed with me. What is the truth? How did things get so bad? And will anything ever be easier for the characters now?
I only have questions, no answers...
CoHo outdid herself with this book, she went way out of her own, and her readers, comfort zone, and she did so masterfully.
Verity is both character driven and story driven, and the fact that there is a book within the book just made things even more creepy!
