Will Lily find out what happened to the woman who jumped off the bridge? What about the missing granddaughter? Where could she be?
Lily Ivory
Lily Ivory is trying to live in the moment and not worry about a dead body needing her expertise in the witchcraft world to solve it. Lily seems to not get any days off from dead bodies in the supernatural area where she lives. She is doing her best to solve these crimes and not getting in anyone's way. Well, kind of. Lily has a more significant role in fulfilling than she thought when moving to San Francisco.
The Mystery
There is much more at play here than Nicky Utley just jumping off the bridge than Carlos Romero thinks. Lily uncovers a more extensive plot than what she meant to do. She ends up having to figure out what happened with Nicky and Betty and how a teenage witch is involved. Lily might be in way over her head on this case, but she still ends up solving it in the end. I thought I knew who did it, but it turned out to be a red herring. I don't think I'm ever going to solve one of Ms. Blackwell's A Witchcraft Mystery cases.
Five Stars
Spellcasting in Silk by Juliet Blackwell is a great read that I had me laughing throughout the entire story. Lily, Oscar, and Sailor are a cute little family, and I can't wait to see what happens for these three. I just hope that whatever happens that everyone is safe. I am giving Spellcasting in Silk by Juliet Blackwell five stars as well.
I can't wait to dive back in with these books later this year.
