I am having so much listening to this series. I am a sucker for a good reformed commitment-phobe story, and I loved the chemistry, banter, and interactions between Dee and Matthew. My heart went out to Matthew at one point, and I had my fingers crossed for him. I also enjoyed reliving some of those early Tangled moments. A fine addition to the series.

I did not expect to love this book as much as I did.  It's hard for me to love a guy more than I love Drew, I mean come on.   In all honesty, not just any guy can hang with Drew, he is the ultimate scene chewer.  But I swear, Matthew, I LOVE YOU.  Good grief.  He is just as cocky as Drew but there is something about him that adore in a different way than Drew.

Ms. Chase is so freaking talented.  Writing these books from a guy's POV and giving them all such distinctive voices. I don't know what I thought Matthew would be like, Dee Dee is soooo dominating and dynamic and for some reason, I thought he would be more subdued.  I could not have been more wrong! He was assertive and aggressive and cocky and sexy as hell ...and...and.  I could go on and on about Matthew.

Leaning close to her, I ask, "If not a banker, what do I look like?"

She smiles slowly and scrapes the olives off the toothpick with her teeth.

"You look like a Chippendales dancer."

Fabulous answer. I don't really need to explain to you why, do I?

In a low, seductive voice I say, "I  do have some great moves.  If banking doesn't work out, Chippendales is Plan B."

Delores is a force to be reckoned with.  She is intelligent and such a smart ass, she is my kind of girl!  (although certainly not without her issues) She does what she wants when she wants and doesn't give a crap.  She calls the shots where men are concerned and then she meets Matthew and they are so well matched and so much alike.  The title of this book, is PERFECT because, Matthew and Delores do "tame" each other in a way.  This book was so sexy, funny AND sweet.  Yes, it was the perfect combination.  I love it when a book gives you exactly what you did't know you were going to get...does that make sense?

As I read, I was messaging with Hildy of The Book Bosses, I laughed and flailed and ended up accidentally texting the Mr. about a certain incident in the book.  I meant to message Hildy and I randomly texted the Mr. and his response was...."Are you drunk?"  I messaged Hildy (correctly) told her what I did and laughed myself silly in the carpool line.

In conclusion:  Matthew is awesome.

Can I just have a moment to fan girl? Squeeeee! Ok, I feel more in control. I am in love with this author and series. The third in the Tangled series by Emma Chase, Tamed gives us yet another male perspective and I abso-friggin-lout-ly love the way Chase fleshes out her characters. They are snarky, genuine, raw and make me giggle: snort like nobody's business!

The events that occur in Tamedtake place during the same period as the previous Tangled novels, so while we don’t see a lot of Drew Evans *le sigh* and Kate we do cross-paths with these characters as they interact in Matthew’s and Dee’s timeline. Ooo but Mckenzie is present and I just adore her.

Dee is unique, in your face, and marches to her own drum. Not only is she a genius the girl has snark, fascinating opinions and spunk! I would hang out with her any time, although she would certainly have me pushing my own personal boundaries.

Tamed unfolds from Matthew’s perspective and like Drew he speaks directly to the reader. Emma Chase does this brilliantly, and Matthew is a captivating storyteller. His personality, passion for friends, work ethic and insanely humorous ideas regarding the opposite sex had me giggling, swooning and sighing.

I consumed Tamed in one sitting and I am pretty sure I forgot to breathe. The tale is relatively low on angst as Chase peeled back the character’s exposing their hang-ups, and personalities. While Matthew pretends to be a player and his crude comments initially made me worried, we quickly see the softer, passionate side of him. Dee has her issues, and is the first one to warn you about them. The romance was delicious, with hot scenes that made my nook sizzle. Chase knows how to write hot, genuine scenes that leave me a tad breathless.

If you have not read the Tangled series by Emma Chase and you like humorous, passionate romances that wrap themselves tightly around your heart..then run to the book store or one-click and immerse yourself in these fantastic tales! I enjoyed Matthew and Dee's story. Matthew may be best friends with the almost always offensive Drew, but he's definitely his own man...just not quite as much d-bag as Drew.
