I couldn't really get into this book. The premise is hardly original, but it could have been used to write a good suspense story with atmosphere, engaging characters, and a twist or two. I found the story slow, repetitive, and bogged down in details. The dialogue was uninteresting and the characters stereotypical and unlikeable. Most of the numerous action scenes seemed thrown in to spice things up every now and then. It would have worked better as a Hollywood film script than a novel. I guess it depends on tastes. This book has popular appeal. There are hundreds of rave reviews and it appears the author is a bestseller.
