Full review to come, but for now: it was a good book, but not great. Certain elements rang false (also side note: did the SATs go back to being out of 1600? because my scores were out of 2400 and it kept confusing me when characters talked about their scores being out of 1600) and I don't think I'll ever reread it, but it was a solid story. The friendship piece was AMAZING. There were way to many PoV shifts for me.

Most likely is both a reality check and a counselor to all high school kids that are facing the impending proposition of life and college after high school. It shows four very different young women who are challenged by many different things in their lives but yet have each others' backs through thick and thin. The main plot point of this book in the beginning, with the park being up for decimation, was not like most in that it connected these girls together, but rather showed just how they were already connected and how fierce their friendship was. It also showed how different life is in the real world, and the harsh decisions you have to make in order to be seen as an adult or reliable person.

The girls themselves were absolutely amazing to read about. They all had a unique sense of self and diversity which made it refreshing to read about. Couple that with their own problems they were all facing alone, as well as together, made the story truly allow all them to come through as main characters, rather than a side character or minor person. That was one thing I loved about it, that each girl's story was so different than the other, but yet I was able to relate myself to each of them.

One of the main things that hindered on my rating however, was the plot of the story to the summary given. Don't get me wrong, I devoured this read and loved all the characters in it, but I was always waiting for something to come up that would lead towards the whole president part of the story. The beginning was an excellent introduction and hint for the girl who would be president, but after that none of them really talked about it. There were some added hints, which I liked, but I feel that the book could lean towards a summary more about the park than the presidency since it was the main point of where the story starts off.

All in all, I think that this book is a breathtaking debut novel, and I can't wait to read the finished product. I only hope that there would be a few more hints about the presidency or intrigue from any of the girls wanting to be president.
