The Love in Bloom series has a special place in my heart. Melissa is always writing these fantastic characters that you can't help but love. I was extremely upset when I finished the Braden series so as soon as I heard there was some more of them lurking out there I couldn't wait to get stuck in. This is the first book about the Braden Cousins. Daddy Hal has a sister Catherine and she also has 6 children.

Daisy Honey had a difficult childhood. When she was at school the girls used to bully her. They spread rumours about her because she was pretty. It was childish and deep down they were just jealous. That didn't mean that it hurt Daisy any less. She struggled through school and even when she left to go to university, med school and her residency she always had those rumours in the back of her mind. It didn't matter that it wasn't true it still affected her life. I think that Daisy is incredibly strong. Especially to return back to a place where she was so miserable.

What Daisy never expected when she returned to Trusty was to bump in to the man of her dreams. Quite literally. When she was younger Luke Braden had stuck up for her and she never forgot it.

Luke has all of the Braden traits. He's loyal, sweet, kind, caring and of course drop dead gorgeous. Luke is the youngest of his siblings and his father left before he was even born. He's been restless for most of his life but he's recently bought a ranch and feels like he's starting to settle. When he meet's Daisy again  he realises it's her he's been waiting for. Luke think's he's been messed up because he never knew his dad but as you will read it's made him a better man.

I really loved the last chapter of this book. It was just so incredibly sweet. I cannot wait to read more of the Braden Cousins' stories.

I was so happy to learn that Melissa Foster was going to introduce more books to the Love in Bloom series. I loved The Bradens the first time and although this part of the series features the cousins of the original Bradens they are still mentioned or featured in the books.

Luke Braden is the youngest of Hal Braden’s sisters children and is one of the main characters in Taken by Love and he is such a lovely man and wonderful character, owning a ranch and loving his horses like they were his children, his other love is the gorgeous Dr Daisy Honey, who has just came back to Trusty as she has just qualified as a doctor in family medicine and her father had a bad fall it is the perfect opportunity while she figures out which job to apply for.

That is of course until Luke takes her heart and she realises that the demons she had been facing since a teenager at school should have been left just there and to give people a second chance. Luke was also facing some demons that he needed to quell too.

I absolutely loved how this book progressed, and how the characters progressed it all flowed so smoothly. Love is a beautiful thing and as you read Taken by Love you will notice that it can happen at the most unexpected time.

Another great addition to the series, I have been hooked to each and every book and cannot wait for the next one.

I have read a number of romance novels, but never anything by Melissa Foster. On completing Taken by Love I had to ask myself, `What took me so long to discover this author?' I am now compelled to read more of her work.

Taken by Love is a beautiful and heartwarming story of love, acceptance and forgiveness. It depicts how being able to forgive and letting go of the hurts of the past lead to greater things in our future.

This is an easy read with characters that are lovable and easy to relate to. My favourite is Dr. Honey Davis. She had been through so much as a teenager in the town of Trusty that she was not willing to return after she had completed her medical studies. However, when her dad met with an accident, she returned home all but reluctantly. It was during this time that she found love with no other than her high school crush, Luke Braden. She also was able to move pass the pain of her past and came to the realization that things were not the same as before. Her power to let go of all the pain and hurt equipped her with the ability to achieve her dreams in a town she once hated.

The romance between Luke and Honey was believable and sweet. They just complement each other so well. They had a history and I liked how the author built on that in the development of their romance.

If you enjoy romance, then you need to get yourself a copy of this book.
