This was all the OTT drama, and I enjoyed it. It was a good change of pace for me, and sort of made up for the more serious book I was reading at the same time.

I liked Calla in previous books, but always felt she short changed herself due to her scars. Her backstory was so sad, but like J Lynn just kept heaping it on. I do have to commend JLA on making Jax both an alpha, but fairly sensitive, and I sort of liked the way both sides worked together, when it came to Calla. I thought there was a bit of unnecessary drama, but you know, at that point, why not bring more!

I liked the escape this book gave me, and I was throughly entertained.

I don't know, I did not enjoy this one as much as the others..

I liked Calla in the previous part, she was badass and brave and awesome. But in this one she could be really annoying and quite dumb sometimes.. Too much innocence and being a victim. Yes, yes she has been through a lot (a helluva lot), but I did not like how she acted about it.
Jax also played into that too much for me, being the hero who saves her from everything. Like she is a little child who can't do anything herself, blegh.
He was just too damn perfect that I did not care for him at all. He is so beautiful blablabla.. If I keep hearing how amazing he is one more time I will hurt someone !!

Not only that.. but also the sex part got really boring for me, it just did not add anything to throw in a sex scene every couple of pages.. !! I know it is NA, but still !!

I do like it when this kind of books have a twist in it. And even though I liked the whole drugs/maffia stuff in there, it was also a bit too much ? I like drama, but this was SO much. It made it less real for me maybe ?

So yeah.. This one was not for me. I skimmed through the last part and could not wait for it to be over. It is that I wanted to know how the whole drugs/maffia plot ended, but otherwise I would have DNF'ed it. I've liked all of her other books in this series so far, and I LOVE her fantasy/YA books, but not this one... Not for me. Makes me wonder if I want to read the next one ? So yeah 2 stars for this one.

Am I actually giving this book 4 stars?

Yes. Yes I am. After 3.5 and then 2.5 stars for the first two installments, I have to give this one a solid 4. I think the copyediting was much better in this book -- there were still issues, but not nearly as many. And I really related to Calla (this is the main reason for those 4 stars). I found some of the fights in the last third or so to be a bit unbelievable, but overall this is my favorite of the series so far.

While I am a little over the whole man whore meets virgin scenario, this was still good. The story was interesting and a little different that the previous books in the series. I liked the slightly darker turn-more dangerous.

Jennifer Armentrout knows how to write an angsty New Adult book.

I think of all the books in the Wait for You series, this was one where I felt for the heroine right away. Calla had her friends at Shepherd, but they were all paired off and he had just found out the guy she had a crush on has a girl. Then to make matters worse, she discovers her mother had gotten her a hundred thousand dollars in debt and unable to pay her upcoming semester tuition. That was enough to make me want to put my arms around the poor girl and give her a huge hug. And things don’t get much better for Calla when she goes back home to figure out just what he mother has done.

Calla is a pretty strong girl. Probably stronger than the previous heroines of this series, mainly because she tries to fight for herself right from the beginning. Things are pretty bad and I think anyone else would have had a moment (or a hundred) of feeling sorry for themselves. But Calla keeps fighting. Against her mother, thugs and sometimes even herself to get a little bit of happiness for herself.

There were a lot of things to love about Jax (especially the way he uses ‘Honey’ all the time). He wanted to protect Calla and was there to help her when she needed it, which made him hard to resist. But it was how he saw Calla, how he loved all of her, that made it easy to forgive him for anything he might have done wrong.
Another great read by J. Lynn/Jennifer Armentrout. If you haven’t read any of the books in this series, definitely pick them up. They are all worth it.
