That's all I'm going to say.

First of all, I am still mad about the first ending in a cliffhanger. There is something about a fluffy contemporary ending in one that gets me mad, especially considering that all you needed to do was add the first two scenes of this one to that for it to be NOT a cliffhanger ending. I don't know if that was a publisher decision or what but it makes me feel like the author doesn't trust the readers to love the characters enough to come back and that's... yeah, I don't like that.
Second, there were a lot of moments that I was kind of over Lara Jean. I like the girl, I really do, but all of her jealousy got annoying, and the way 60% of their conversations in this one became about Gen drove me a bit bonkers, because I love Lara Jean and Peter together. Was Peter in the wrong there too? Of course. But for me, it always seemed to be so much more about Lara Jean's feelings of inadequacy in comparison to Gen than anything else. It was like... she never really believed that Peter was really into her, you know?
Speaking of Peter--boy, you need to get over that habit of yours of growing cold and remote when all you want to do is get back with ya girl because that gets misconstructed. A lot. And makes it a tad bit difficult to figure out that you even want that. So... that's your homework from me, now go work on it.
I still really love him though. Which is why I got bummed about the whole John thing, although thank god it wasn't the reason for their break up. I would have closed the book in rage then, because that would be a SECOND love triangle in this and I just... why
Third, I really don't like how somehow Gen is made to look kind of okay? First of all, her dad being a douchebag is not an excuse for anything. Second, all Lara Jean did was have a kiss with someone, and you've been acting like a bitch ever since? Over a single stupid kiss three years ago, that nothing came out of? Don't tell Lara Jean to grow up. YOU grow up. Seriously. Also, how everything went down was kind of odd? I mean, I'm not the authority on this or anything but would her dad really go out of his company and kiss an 18 years old girl in broad daylight where everyone he knows can see him--while he is a married man and father of a 17 years old, and that 17 years old girl is in his company at those moments? I mean, that's such a far-fetched setting for Lara Jean to find out this truth. I'm not saying he wouldn't cheat, just not so publicly and especially not in a location where he works?? IDK, maybe I'm just crazy.
I really hope the third book will explore OTHER relationships and leave Lara Jean and Peter to just be their fun shelves together so I can enjoy them and not have this couple ruined for me...

After the cliffhanger ending of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before I knew it wouldn’t be long before I picked up P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han. I put one book in between to try to avoid burnout. I gobbled this one up just as quickly as I did the first.
Lara Jean has finally entered the world of dating. What she used to daydream about relationships and how they worked turns out to be quite a bit different than the reality. Relationships are confusing and messy but also filled with those great moments you hold on to. Despite having ground rules relationships are filled with gray and not just black and white.
I absolutely loved spending more time in the world that Han has created for Lara Jean and crew. Settings and secondary characters are big for me and Han excels in both categories. I really don’t feel like I can talk much about the plot so all of that review is in the spoilers section. There’s some pretty big ones in there so read at your own risk!
Gen is a bitch. There I feel better! Please don’t try to defend her; it won’t help. The things she put Lara Jean through (for what turned out to be a pretty minor offense) were awful. In my group of middle school friends it would have been a full blown fight for about a month and then blown over. John made a great third point to the triangle in this book. I’m glad Lara Jean finally fully aired her thoughts and feelings to Peter. I do feel bad for him being trapped in the middle BUT I also feel like he could have been far more considerate of Lara Jean’s feelings.
I’m not disappointed with how the book ended. I feel like Lara Jean made the decision that was best for her. I am a bit sad (maybe more bittersweet) that she made the decision she did but I get it. In the last few chapters Han made my heart race with all the possibilities.
I’m nervous about the third book. I’m excited to see where the story is going to lead but I don’t want my time with Lara Jean and her world to end. I know I won’t be able to resist putting it off for very long!

This is the follow up book to To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han and it was another cute story.
This story picks up right where the first book ends and it starts with the one thing that Lara Jean is best at. Letters. A letter to Peter. Ahhhh, this book.
I adored it to pieces. Lara Jean is probably one of my favorite YA protagonists of the year. She is so much fun to get to know and her thought processes and just everything that comes out of her mouth makes me laugh and laugh. She’s such a fun character and seeing her fall in love, get mad and learn some life lessons is a whole lot of great. I love reading about her life. Jenny Han handles writing the life of a young Asian protagonist really well. I love that her culture is a part of who she is, how it’s a part of her reactions to the things that happen to her.
This book introduces a new boy in Lara Jean’s life and while I was bummed that this was going to be a love triangle thing, Han told me to calm my ass down and keep reading so I did. I liked the way that the other boy was handled and I love that when all was said and done, Lara Jean knew where her heart belonged.
Peter, freaking Peter. I loved him. I loved how different he was from Lara Jean and even when he was being a complete dumbass, I loved him. The whole thing with Gen made me want to smack the shit out of her and kick Peter in the balls but as with Lara Jean, he knew where his heart belonged and I enjoyed seeing them come together in the end.
This book was a fun story about memorable characters from the first book. I liked that Lara Jean went through some real life problems and handled them like a real person would. I loved that she figured her shit out and fixed the things in her life that needed fixing (including friendships that used to mean the world to her). She was a better and stronger person for all the things she went through in this book and I adored her and Peter together.
This book is filled with cuteness and I definitely recommend this to lovers of Jenny Han’s books but also to fans of contemporary YA romances. This is one of the good ones.
Grade: 4 out of 5
