Marla Cwitowitz, a Los Angeles law professor and her lover Al Giraud, a private detective, can't help noticing the attractive couple in the Ritz bar. But what they are witnessing is the beginning of a nightmare. Within days the man, Steve Mallard, is in police custody, accused of murdering beautiful Laurie Martin.
