It's good to see that these books got their groove back. The last book had fallen a little flat for me, but this was reminded me why I love this series. I was immediately team Flynn. He was charming and sweet and I really wanted him to get the girl. I was quite disappointed in him, when he did the jumping to conclusions thing, but he made up for it with all those grand-ish gestures.
One of my favorite things about this series are the family ties. In this book, we have lots of appearances from the Cassidy siblings, and we even get to celebrate a holiday. All that time on the ranch made me really happy. Burton writes these awesome families, and I enjoy spending time with them. It was very heartwarming, and I thought it was special that they were so receptive to Amelia, welcoming her in with open arms, and giving her something that she sort of always longed for.
This one was fairly low drama, and I was ok with that. Less drama meant more time with friends, family, and with Flynn and Amelia just getting to know each other better.
Overall: Another great Play-by-Play book, which left me dying for Nathan and Mia's story!!!
