RTC but really liked this one. It had an awesome concept that I hadn’t really read before. Well written & developed characters. Interested to read the next in the series and see what happens next.

This was only an okay read for me. For an adult book, I found Vale to be really immature and honestly a bit annoying. Knox was interesting, but I felt like I never actually got know him. Their whole relationship felt forced, moving from hate to love without actually seeing the growth. The premise was interesting...an inter-galactic competition to rule over newly-discovered worlds, I just wished it could have been more of a focus. I also struggled to remember the names of all the other competitors and what realms they came from.

The story is really slow in the beginning, doesn’t pick up until more than halfway through the book. When it does pick up, it really picks up. I enjoyed the second half a lot more and am curious about the next book though.
