I freaking love it!!! I'm in love with the character of Cade - an annoying yet charming guy. However the ending is a cliff hanger in a way that the readers wont know if Lily did enter in the script writing contest and could've won somehow.

Kasie West is so good at hooking my emotions! I liked this one a lot, although I did figure out one of the major plot points early on. However, I loved the premise, and the main character was adorable. Another solid YA romance read.

In a world of way too many angsty young adult books, Kasie West stands out in her ability to write in such a way that is appropriate for young adults, and yet doesn’t have stilted dialog or too much angst. Though Lily certainly had her share of troubles, the overall tone of the story was hopeful and light. The story was told in Lily’s perspective which was perfect. It didn’t give away who the mysterious note writer was and left room for speculation. The story was great and just right after a stressful day. Though it is written for a younger audience, this mature reader enjoyed it very much.

Initial thoughts: As expected from a Kasie West book, P.S. I Like You was a cute romance novel. It was rather generic, though, with hardly any distinguishing factors that would've made the characters more interesting. Yes, I enjoy books that revolve around music, and it was nice to read one where the main character was into writing lyrics but not performing. I was also glad for the very supportive best friend Lily had, but besides that, P.S. I Like You was an average book for me.

Two archenemies learn they have more in common in this sweet high school romance.

Ever have those toe curling moments when something just feels so good? A cup of hot cocoa on a winter's day or puppy kisses in the morning? Well, this book gave me some nice toe curling moments. It's just one of those quick reads which make you smile and say "ahhh." The characters are quirky and fun, while the romance is sweet and dreamy. Additionally, I enjoyed the complicated yet loving friendship between Lily and Isabel. I want to see more interesting friendships between young women in young adult.

Gushing aside, this book is not going to work for everyone. It contains several high school tropes. The villain - if you can even call her that - is one dimensional. And the setting is non-existent. Don't pick this book up expecting to read something profound.

tl;dr A quick, cute read about first love between enemies.

Like I keep saying, KWest never disappoints me. I needed something not too heavy with an HEA that made my heart swell, and I got that with P.S. I Like You

We have two great MCs, Lily and Cade. Both are very likable and well developed. I found Cade quite interesting as his best parts were kept under wraps from most. There was so many fun, sweet, and aw-shucks moments when the two were together. I like that KWest involves the family too, and Lily's family was insane in all the best ways. They did not have a lot of money, but they had a lot of love. The friendships are strong too. It was a little rough between Lily and Isabelle, but they elected to make decisions based on what was best for their friendship, versus what was just best for themselves. I swear, Kasie West's books are "all that" for me, because she picks the best parts of people and life and puts them center stage.

Once again, KWest has left me warm and fuzzy and happy and smiling.

This is maybe the cutest Kasie West book yet.

When I first read the synopsis, I wasn't sure how interesting or fun the letter writing thing would be if the characters weren't around each other. But the letters provided dimension and a different perspective on the characters.

Then when I started reading it, I had a little bit of a hard time getting into it. Like the first 50 pages or less. I think because the narration is a bit too simplistic, a series of short sentences, cohesive observations broken down into individual sentences. But without noticing I became nicely immersed in the story.

And even though I knew what was going on pretty much from the start, Kasie surprised me with how it played out. It was fun and exciting and there was one scene that I really wanted to go one direction and then it went another and while I was disappointed, the aftermath of that new direction was exactly what the story needed and led to some very nice scenes.

The characters are fun, and not just the main ones. There's a nice balance of surrounding characters that support the story well. And when a character says that someone is adorable, they've actually done and said things that make them believably adorable. It's a little Girl Meets World in that the awkward moments endear you to the characters instead of being off-putting.

Mostly, the whole thing is just super cute. The letters and the characters and how it all ends up. Super cute.

Not very impressed tbh.. I did like the story, but the characters seemed kind of flat and I missed depth, this story could have been much more.. But well, it was short and entertaining. Cute and romantic. Nice for an inbetween read.
