The first half of the book was so cringe... but it starts picking up around Christmas when they go to Vermont.
I kinda liked it though..

If We Kiss is a fun and entertaining light read. I'm not sure, if it's the book for me or not, but it was enjoyable. Rachel Vail is telling the story of Charlie, who is more or less worried about what will happen if she kisses the guy she's into. Even if he's unavailable, which he is, because he's dating her best friend Tess. In my opinion, I felt as if it had more to do with questioning the second, than it did with the first initial kiss that took place.

It's a quick, fast-paced read for those who find themselves enjoying romantic young adult contemporaries. It's not all that in depth, just your basic girl falls for boy she can't really have, then questions her own moral compass, and sort of acts snotty about certain issues. It's funny, sweet, and adorable in some moments, but in other's it's almost as if you'd like to smack some sense into the characters - preferrably Charlie moreso, than any other. Despite a few drawbacks to the novel at hand, Rachel Vail does a wonderful job of penning the friendship as real and relatable regarding the girls, Tess and Charlie.

In If We Kiss, there's the discovering of first love, actions, and consequences. It's not a bad story at all and it's a pretty good book. There's definitely some pretty good drama kicked up amongst the pages that is sure to captivate and entertain readers. If this is the kind of book that you think you could sink your teeth into and really enjoy, then I would definitely recommend it. Overall, I liked pretty well, just not well enough to want to read it again anytime soon. I would suggest either borrowing it on loan from the library or from a friend, rather than buying it and make the decision for yourself.
