Overall, it was an enjoyable read. The writing was clear, and the characters were developed. The main issue I had was with pacing. Things happened very quickly after the initial opening flashback. Felt like it was race against time to get all of the background information out to the audience.

I also wasn't a huge fan of the two main characters, much more interested in the demigods and their stories.

Still would recommend for fans of Greek mythology and Percy Jackson fans looking for something a little out of the ordinary!

I really liked the idea behind this book. I love mythology retellings, especially when there’s a twist – but unfortunately, this book didn’t deliver for me. I didn’t like the characters at all and the writing was a bit ‘eh’ as well. Still, like I said I loved the way the story went so that’s mostly why it got 3 stars in the end.
