Yet Another YA Dystopia With A Few Interesting Twists. As a YA Dystopia, this book fits pretty squarely within the mold. To the tune that it can easily become forgettable to an extent. But there are some interesting twists to the mold that make this stand out a bit - the focus on twins without any form of romantic subplot chief among them, but also some of the overall tech and concepts about when, how, where, and to a lesser extent why the dystopia could emerge. Ultimately this is interesting enough as a "pilot" to want to see the next episode before making a decision on whether to keep going or not, and sometimes that is good enough. :) Recommended.

Politically-charged dystopian thriller ft strong female leads

This hits nearly all my bookish needs! Regarding dystopian books, it exceeds my expectations. Some scenes struggle with verbosity, but the story is so relevant to American politics today that it's eerily realistic — so the verbosity is this forgiven.

I listened along to the audiobook, although I'm hard of hearing, because the narrator's voice was the right kind of sensory input.

I'm excited to read the other books in this series, though it won't be too soon because of my long TBR

4.5/5 stars. I jumped on this book so hard when I saw that it was written ABOUT twins, BY twins. What?! I haven't read anything like that before, so I was so excited to read this. I'm happy to say this story did not disappoint! I'm not sick of YA dystopian at all so this was the perfect balance between fantasy and contemporary for me. I never knew what was going to happen next which made me read this so fast. I loved the inclusion of a Spanish-speaking character and enjoyed being able to understand her Spanish dialogue (though they always translated it). I thought I'd include that there is a trigger warning for attempted rape, for those of you who would want to know before picking this up. Anyways, the sequel is out in 2 weeks so it's definitely climbed up my TBR pile.
