What I Liked: Loved! Eloisa James outdoes herself with The Duke is Mine I wasn’t really expecting much out of this story. I mean it’s based on The Princess and the Pea! The last book was Beauty and the Beast, my favorite fairy tale. I have to say that The Duke is Mine is my favorite book in the series so far. It was personal for me. Olivia, our heroine, isn’t a rail stick thin blonde bombshell but she steals Quin’s breath away all the same. Olivia is kind and self-sacrificing. Something she isn’t often given credit for. Instead she erects a shield of vulgarity and un-ladylikeness.

Quin has suffered immensely during his reign as duke. He isn’t good with emotions or words and he doesn’t indulge in flights of fancy. He learned that lesson in an excruciatingly hard way. Then Olivia comes along and changes all of that. Quin and Olivia are the best kind of fairy tale.

What I Could Have Lived Without: I can say that there isn’t one thing that I would change about The Duke is Mine It was one of the best historical/fairy tale romances I have ever read.

Recommended For: Readers looking to get swept into a fairy tale that will pull at your heartstrings.

Avoid If: Walking around with a cheesy grin for a few days after finishing an amazing book isn’t your style. Or you hate that glow you feel after finishing a superb story!
