Marsters narration was stellar in Summer Knight. I found myself laughing aloud and the voices he gave to some pizza loving dewdrop fairies. Once again the council is questioning whether Harry should be a Wizard and the Queen of Winter once to hire him to solve a murder. What trickery is this? It might be just want Harry needs to rid himself of the funk he has been under since his girlfriend was turned.

Harry rather depressed when our story begins. His home is a mess, and there's an eviction notice for his office. His friend schedules an appointment for him and it turns out to be with Mab the Winter Queen. Someone has killed the Summer Knight and Mab has been blamed. If Harry aids her it may just prove his loyalty to the White Council. Who once again are seeking to have him hog-tied and sent to the vampires. Poor Harry!

I absolutely loved the faerie storyline from travels there to happens at  their court. Dresden's humor and one-liners had me roaring. Can I just say the fairies scare the shite out of me? Trickery at every turn, riddles and more kept me on edge. It was an intense storyline with a tight window to solve the case. If Harry fails the ramifications could affect everyone. 

Harry enlists the help of dewdrop fairies and the werewolves. He even consults with his Godmother. He gets some unexpected help and I enjoyed the thread. Battles, discovery, hardship and loss made for a thrilling listen.

James Marsters was brilliant from his voices to the way he set the tone for each scene.Which each novel his voice and the soundtrack improve. He's quickly earned a spot on my favorite narrators list and has become the voice of these characters. DNF. I have officially given up on the Dresden Files. I think I only continued because the narrator did such a great job bringing Dresden to life, but he couldn't make the stories any better. I kept waiting for this series to get better, but I became less and less impressed by Dresden with each story.

James Marsters makes this book! He does an excellent job making the story come to life. The story itself wasn't my favourite Dresden file plot line but I enjoyed it. If Audible makes any of the later books in the series available to me in Oz, I'll definitely check them out!

I think this may be my favorite Dresden so far. I really like the Fae in these books, none of them are truly nice or evil which is hard to find in books. I'm really glad that Murphy and Dresden are on the same page now as well...I was getting tired of her constantly getting upset over something and him trying to protect her. I'm looking forward to the others in the series and will start them shortly I think.

I’ve really enjoyed the prior books in this series, but this one was pretty flat for me. Harry is even more of a mess than usual, and the faerie politics were just a little too complicated. There are a few decent spots of action, and the climactic final faerie battle is written well enough that I could picture it in my mind, but overall I was left wanting more. It may be that there just wasn’t enough of Harry’s supporting cast here… Murphy only plays a small part, and Bob, one of my favorite characters, is only in one scene. I do plan on finishing this series, so I hope they pick back up!

Harry Dresden becomes embroiled in the world of faerie and faerie politics. This isn't good, for anyone involved.

Harry is busy keeping himself alive, some of the decisions he's making are very complicated.

Interesting and involved Harry is quite an interesting character and I look forward to reading more in this series.
