Otra novela corta de la serie de The Expanse. Metadona para los que somos adictos. No es lo mismo que la trama principal pero algo nos vale. En esta historia vemos el mundo a través de una madurísima niña de 10 años que descubre unos animales muy peculiares en el mundo de Laconia, a donde ha llegado con sus padres en la primera oleada de científicos tras cruzar la Puerta (recordemos que Laconia es el mundo donde se ha refugiado el almirante rebelde Duarte de la Armada Marciana). La historia decepciona porque acaba demasiado pronto y explicando demasiado poco. No todo se puede explicar pero hay algunos elementos introducidos por los autores que piden a gritos una explicación que nunca llega.
