I don't know what it is about the Walsh women, but their stories have been very emotional for me. I know the entire family suffered at Angus' hands, but I feel as though Erin and Shannon suffered the most, and because of that, had the most to overcome.
Erin's story simply blew me away! I was hooked from the very first chapter. I mean, with a bombshell like that, who wouldn't sit up and listen?! Watching Nick and Erin's love story unfold for over two years was a most wonderful experience. These two were so beautiful together, and caused me to shed lots and lots of tears, many of which were happy tears. I always liked Nick, but in this book, I fell in love with Nick. His backstory was pretty amazing, and man!, he is so swoony.
I also liked the amount of focus Canterbary gave to Riley. We saw the not-so-happy-go-lucky side of him in this book, and I think it's a great set up for his story.
Before I knew about this pairing, I was thinking Canterbary could do a book for Nick, as an honorary Walsh sibling, but that hope is now gone. I will be very sad when I read my last Walsh book, as this is a series and a family I have grown to love.
