After the events of Fire Study, Yelena and Valek's sabattical is cut short when they become entangled in a plot to prevent the Ice Moon from falling into the hands of a rogue magician.

This wasn't bad, but there was a lot of plot for such a short story, so some of it seemed rushed or contrived and choppy. Also, Yelena was kind of dumb which I didn't like (that was the part that seemed contrived). But it was an interesting plot which was fun to read in its own way. Though I think it would have been better served by having a little more room.
