I'm not really sure how to rate this book, 3 or 4 stars. I've settled for 3 which does seem a bit harsh because I did enjoy the book and it is a really good story and idea. However, there were lots of things that niggled me and set it apart from the other books I've rated four stars.
First was the proof reading, while the first part may have been checked, the closer I got to the end, the worse it got, as though whoever read it got bored of checking it. Unfortunately, I'm the sort of person who gets distracted by mistakes, if you don't then you probably won't mind.
Then there were the characters. Eden seems to devolve from a semi grounded teenager to an immature child. However, that is how she is treated so it's no wonder really. Professor Saint spent the first part of the book getting on my nerves with his superiority and arrogance but then seemed to have a personality transplant and I found myself liking him. Juan spent a good portion of the book deserving a slap (in my opinion) but then suddenly developed a backbone and became someone with potential.
