Where the first volume established a pretty solid but standard opening, this one excels. I am so glad I decided to try out the second volume before deciding to put it to the side. Freya has already undergone some character development as she learns her role as prince, and I have to say I love her quick thinking. Where I was marginally interesting throughout the first volume, I was positively hooked for all of this one.
But that ending is just so devastating. I'm definitely snapping up volume 3 when it drops.
