With The Neon Graveyard, one of the most uniquely intriguing series I've read has come to a happy end. It's time for this supernatural war to end once and for all, and Joanna is the only one equipped to stop it despite being stripped of her powers. She's got to defeat Solange, rescue Hunter, close Midheaven, get rid of Warren, and finally kill the Tulpa. Quite the list.

The Neon Graveyard didn't pack as much of a punch as I was hoping. The beginning is a lot of running around, and going in and out of Midheaven, and Joanna constantly reminding us of how her body is going to change, is changing, and has changed. I wanted her to get on with it! There's also some lessons on Greek mythology, which were interesting, but I don't think wholly necessary to the overall plot. However, once things get rolling, they don't stop until the last page.

A lot of messed up things have happened in this series and The Neon Graveyard is no different. Midheaven was more screwed up and terrifying than ever. I couldn't believe what Solange was doing to the agents she managed to capture in her lair. But something equally disturbing happens to her, and I'm happy this wasn't a movie, otherwise those images would haunt me for life. There's a few unpredictable and weird twists along the way too.

I think I've said all that I can about this series. It was unique, interesting, and action packed. The Neon Graveyard was a satisfying ending for the most part. I did feel like it left a few loose ends, mainly in regards to Ashlyn and Ben, who seemed to just disappear from the series entirely. An epilogue would have been nice to clear the air.
