I'll start with what I did enjoy about Werewolf in Seattle. I liked the idea of turning Colin's aunt's castle into a hotel for Weres. I can't say why I liked this plot, but I just thought it was a neat idea, and Luna had thought of everything so her excitement was rather contagious. She tries to keep her half-breed status a secret, since Weres tend to look down on human mates, and she doesn't want to hurt the hotel's chance of being a success. Of course, her secret must come out, and there's an evil businessman who's willing to use that information for control of the hotel. It's cheesy, but it was enjoyable.
Now, back to this clueless virgin thing. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with still being a virgin at 27 years old, but Luna's complete lack of knowledge about anything sex related was not believable at all. Plus, it's totally inconsistent. Werewolf in Seattle starts off with her being shy, but then a little alcohol gets her and Colin to the kissing phase. She admits that she doesn't know how to kiss and that's she a virgin, and after an earth shattering kiss, she demands to be deflowered. Colin takes things slower than Luna would like, and she's completely thrown by the idea of oral sex (giving and receiving). Yet, she gives him the best blow job ever? Luna admits to having watched porn though, so I would imagine she knows how things work which made her "I don't know how to do this" attitude very implausible. Then there's the fact that she doesn't get sore AT ALL from her first time and is basically insatiable. I put this down to her being Were, and maybe Were females are different, but the fact that Colin is fretting about hurting her, makes me think they're not so different, so again, much annoyance.
I did like Werewolf in Seattle, but virgin romances just do not work for me. I know it's fiction, so the first time is going to be much better than it is in the real world, but come on! And going from being as "dumb as a box of rocks" about sex to being the best ever at riding the flesh pony was unbelievable. I would have liked more awkwardness from Luna! But there's also some wolf sex, which is apparently way better than boring ol' human sex.
